Protocol Day 1

CHAPTER 1 — WHAT TYPE 2 DIABETES ACTUALLY IS - PHASE 1: CLINICAL FOUNDATIONS

The Truth About Insulin Resistance

Type 2 Diabetes is fundamentally a metabolic mismatch. While it manifests as high blood sugar, the root cause is a cellular communication breakdown known as Insulin Resistance.

Think of your cells as a secure building and insulin as the security guard with the key. In a healthy body, insulin arrives, unlocks the door (the GLUT4 transporter), and allows glucose to enter to be burned for fuel. In Type 2 Diabetes, the "locks" on your cells have become jammed or rusted. Even though your pancreas is working overtime to produce more keys, the doors stay shut.

When glucose cannot enter the cells, it stays in the bloodstream. This leads to Hyperglycemia. High blood sugar acts like "shards of glass" in the blood, physically damaging the delicate lining of your arteries and tiny vessels in the kidneys and eyes. The goal of our 1,500-word daily protocol is not just to mask the symptoms with medication, but to "clean the locks" on your cells through strategic movement, nutrition, and timing...
